A helpful guide to understanding the bulb classes in the Spring Flower Show.

The cultivars shown in the pictures are examples, as any cultivars, as long as they are the correct classification ‘Division’ (e.g. Trumpet, Large Cup etc) can be exhibited.

An explanation of the Divisions can be found on The Daffodil Society Website.

THS has spare exhibition vases (‘Bikini’ vases) that can be loaned for the show. It is suggested that the vases are loaned prior to the actual show day, to give yourself some time beforehand to fill the vase with floral foam and arrange your daffodils.

When planting your bulbs in the Autumn, it is not necessary to buy expensive or rare bulbs to put on a good display. The bulbs that you can buy at the Thornbury Garden Shop or local Garden Centres are perfect!

It would be wonderful if you can join in at the next Spring Flower Show, which is open to members and non-members.

If you would like any advice on showing daffodils, please send an e-mail via the contact page.
